Contraiindication: 

  • Hypersensitivity to Orciprenaline and other sympathomimetic amines
  • Tachycardia 
  • Arrhythmia associated with tachycardia 
  • Peripheral thrombosis 
  • Profound hypoxia

  • Myocardial insufficiency
  • Arrhythmia 
  • Hypertension 
  • Hyperthyroidism 
  • Diabetes

Servings: Adult: Oral: 60 - 80mg / day in 3 - 4 divided doses. Aerosol inhalation: 0.65 mg / metered spray is used. Inhale 2 - 3 inhalations 3 - 4 times daily with 2 minutes interval between inhalations and maximum 12 inhalations / day. Children: Oral: above 9 year: same as adult dose 6 - 9 years: 30 - 40 mg / day in 3 - 4 divided doses Below 6 years: 1.3 - 2.6 mg / kg / day in divided doses Inhalations: above 12 years: same as adult dose 6 - 11 years: 0.1 - 0.2 ml of 5% solution is diluted with normal saline solution to 3ml administer by nebuliser
