Contraiindication: 

  • Hypersensitivity to the drug 
  • Severe Myelosuppression 
  • Cardiac dysfunction

Special Precaution: 

  • Recent radiotherapy 
  • Recent chemotherapy 
  • Pre existing cardiac diseases 
  • Hepatic impairment 
  • Prior exposure to anthracyclines 
  • Regularly monitor patient`s blood count and cardiac function
Servings: Intravenous- Adult- For breast cancer and lymphoma 14mg/metre square every 3-4 weeks or 2-4mg/metre square/day for 5 days For acute non lymphocytic leukemia 12mg/metre square daily for 5 days Child- Intravenous- 8mg/metre square daily for 5 days every 3 to 4 weeks
